Who We Are
Helvy ("we", "us", "our") is a Swiss job search application designed to help job seekers registered with the RAV (Regionales Arbeitsvermittlungszentrum), ORP (Office RΓ©gional de Placement), or URC (Ufficio Regionale di Collocamento) meet their monthly application requirements and generate their Bewerbungsnachweis.
Helvy is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through the Helvy mobile application and website (helvy.jobs / helvy.app).
Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data when you use Helvy:

2.3 CV Document (Optional)
You may optionally upload your CV in PDF format to improve job matching accuracy. If uploaded, your CV may contain contact details, professional history, and any other personal information you have included. CV upload is entirely optional β all core features work without it.

How We Use Your Data
We use your data exclusively for the following purposes:
- Service delivery: Authenticate your account, display your personalised dashboard, and track your monthly application progress against your RAV quota.
- Job matching: Your profile preferences are used to rank and filter job listings relevant to your situation.
- RAV compliance export: Your name, AHV number, and logged applications are used to generate your monthly Bewerbungsnachweis CSV export for Job-Room.
- CV profile extraction: If you upload a CV, it is processed to extract profile data that pre-fills your onboarding preferences, saving you time.
- Subscription management: Your email and subscription status are used to manage your Helvy subscription and deliver receipts.
- App improvement: Anonymous, non-identifiable usage and crash data help us identify bugs and improve the product.
Legal Basis (GDPR / Swiss nDSG)
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing necessary to deliver the Helvy service you subscribed to.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Anonymous analytics and crash reporting to maintain and improve the service.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Optional CV upload β you explicitly choose to upload and can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your CV in Settings.
Third-Party Service Providers
To operate Helvy, we work with trusted third-party service providers in the following categories. These providers act as data processors under our instructions and are contractually bound to protect your data. They may not use your data for their own purposes.

Payment information (credit card numbers, bank details) is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. Helvy never has access to your payment card details.
Data Storage & Security
All Helvy user data is stored on servers located in Switzerland, ensuring compliance with Swiss nDSG and GDPR data residency requirements.
Security measures in place:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
- All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
- Access control rules ensure each user can only read and write their own data
- CV files are stored in an isolated environment accessible only to the authenticated account holder
- AHV numbers are stored exclusively in your private account, accessible only via your authenticated session
- No Helvy employee has routine access to individual user data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings β Delete Account in the Helvy app. Account deletion triggers permanent deletion of all your data within 30 days.
Your Rights
Under Swiss nDSG and GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate data directly via Settings in the app at any time.
- Right to erasure: Delete your account and all data via Settings β Delete Account.
- Right to data portability: Export your application data as CSV at any time using the Export screen.
- Right to restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data while a dispute is pending.
- Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for CV processing at any time by deleting your CV in Settings.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@helvy.app. We will respond within 30 days.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch.
Children's Privacy
Helvy is designed exclusively for adults registered with Swiss unemployment services (RAV/ORP/URC). The app is not intended for persons under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@helvy.app and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email and/or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated policy will always be available at helvy.app/privacy-policy.
Continued use of Helvy after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you may delete your account before the effective date.
