Summary: Helvy collects only the data necessary to operate the app. We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with third parties beyond what is strictly necessary to deliver the service. Your AHV number is used exclusively to generate your RAV compliance report.

Who We Are

Helvy ("we", "us", "our") is a Swiss job search application designed to help job seekers registered with the RAV (Regionales Arbeitsvermittlungszentrum), ORP (Office RΓ©gional de Placement), or URC (Ufficio Regionale di Collocamento) meet their monthly application requirements and generate their Bewerbungsnachweis.

Helvy is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through the Helvy mobile application and website (helvy.jobs / helvy.app).

2.3 CV Document (Optional)

You may optionally upload your CV in PDF format to improve job matching accuracy. If uploaded, your CV may contain contact details, professional history, and any other personal information you have included. CV upload is entirely optional β€” all core features work without it.

CV Upload is optional. If you upload a CV, it is processed by an AI service to extract profile information, then stored securely under your account. It is never shared with employers, recruiters, or any third party for commercial purposes.

Third-Party Service Providers

To operate Helvy, we work with trusted third-party service providers in the following categories. These providers act as data processors under our instructions and are contractually bound to protect your data. They may not use your data for their own purposes.

Data location: All personal data is stored on servers located in Switzerland, providing equivalent protection to the European Economic Area under GDPR. No personal data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA without appropriate safeguards.

Payment information (credit card numbers, bank details) is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. Helvy never has access to your payment card details.

Data Storage & Security

All Helvy user data is stored on servers located in Switzerland, ensuring compliance with Swiss nDSG and GDPR data residency requirements.

Security measures in place:

AHV Number security: Your AHV number is stored exclusively in your private account. It is never transmitted to any third party except when explicitly included in the CSV export you generate yourself and choose to send.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings β†’ Delete Account in the Helvy app. Account deletion triggers permanent deletion of all your data within 30 days.

Under Swiss nDSG and GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch.

Children's Privacy

Helvy is designed exclusively for adults registered with Swiss unemployment services (RAV/ORP/URC). The app is not intended for persons under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@helvy.app and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email and/or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated policy will always be available at helvy.app/privacy-policy.

Continued use of Helvy after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you may delete your account before the effective date.
